About
Alicia J. Swenson O'Brien is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Public Administration (MPA). For two decades, she has worked at the intersection of policy, programs, and people — helping health and human services organizations move important work forward in the face of real complexity.
Her career spans some of the largest health and human services agencies in the federal government: the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the HHS Executive Secretariat, the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE), and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Across those roles, she has supported senior leaders through high-stakes decisions, coordinated stakeholders across systems that rarely move in unison, and helped translate ambitious goals into work that could actually get done. She brings that experience to every engagement, along with a clinician’s instinct for listening carefully and a deep belief in the people doing this work.
